On June 17th, a historic weather event caused extensive damage in areas of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Several roads, businesses, and homes were lost or damaged.
To all of those in the Keweenaw whose lives have been affected by this devastating storm - we may be strangers to you but we want you to know that our hearts hurt for you and we’d like to help. When you mess with one Yooper, you mess with all Yoopers, we are all Sisu Strong.
In an effort to do what we can to help, we’re introducing this Copper Country Flood Relief design. Originally, 100% of the profits from these Sisu Strong t-shirts and stickers were donated to the Portage Health Foundation. Over $40,00 has been donated so far.
The effects of this storm will be felt for years to come. In an effort to continue to support the relief effort, we will be donating 20% of sales from this and any future reprints of the Sisu strong design.
PHF has established the Houghton County Flood Relief Fund, all money contributed to this fund will be used for the distribution of humanitarian relief and recovery efforts of the Houghton County Community. In the event that federal aid is made available, this fund will be used to help offset non-federally covered expenses.
This sticker measures 4" x 3.5".
