Description
With "The Hewer" we pay homage to the hard working miners of the Upper Peninsula. The pickaxe and shovel are iconic tools of the Upper Peninsula, lending to our mining heritage. The hewer was the person holding the pickaxe and responsible for loosening the rocks. The job was also known as the "breaker" or "pickman".
