From an early age, Bugsy recalls fiddling with an increment borer and the fascination of seeing the rings of a tree when looking at a core sample.The tool is a part of dendrochronology, the scientific method of dating trees by their rings.As much as trees are at the heart of the Upper Peninsula, the Upper Peninsula is at the heart of a tree. We were amused when a customer sent this Upper Peninsula tree stump our way.
